Please Pray

You may have heard about the political unrest happening right now in Kenya.  To our knowledge everyone is safe but they definitely need our prayers.  See Keith’s note below and please pray for both the Ham family and everyone at Missions of Hope in Nairobi.

Dear Friends,

We wanted to get this note out to you to let you know that we are ok.  We hope that our internet will work long enough to get this to you.  It is shaky to say the least right now.  We are in Eldama Ravine, about 3 ½ hours away from Nairobi.  It is an African Inland Mission retreat location.  We came here on Election Day and were planning on returning to Nairobi today, but we were thwarted in leaving town.  The roads have been closed in and out of town.

From the sounds of things in Nairobi, we are probably pretty blessed to be here right now.  Things are pretty precarious in Nairobi right now.  The opposition candidate has declared himself president, as well as the incumbent president being sworn in yesterday.  Please pray.  The areas of violence center on the people that we love and work with.  Pray for a hedge of protection around them.  Pray for peace.  Pray for many people to be talking to Jesus right now.  Pray that this situation will turn out to the glory of God.

We were able to go to town today and fill the tank with gas.  We also were able to buy enough groceries to last a while.  So, we are really fine.  We would appreciate your prayers.  Kathy’s parents are with us.  Pray for all of us to remain healthy.  Pray for our children to feel peaceful.

Thank you.  We appreciate having such a loving body of supporters, friends and family that we know will really take our call to prayer seriously.

Love, Keith and Kathy
